Big Day of Giving Is Today — Help Us Continue the Mission to Support Our Unhoused Neighbors

Today is  Big Day of Giving (BDOG), and Mercy Holistic Ministry is praying to raise $25,000 to continue serving people experiencing homelessness throughout Sacramento.

Every week, our mobile outreach provides showers, hygiene supplies, clothing, food, prayer, and compassionate relationships to vulnerable members of our community.

But this mission is about more than meeting physical needs. It is about restoring dignity, rebuilding hope, and helping people move toward stability and purpose.

We are also grateful that one organization has generously committed a $5,000 matching gift for Mercy Holistic Ministry. In addition, Golden 1 Credit Union account holders may qualify for extra matching support, helping every donation go even further.

Your Support Changes Lives

Before Mercy Holistic Ministry officially launched its shower program in 2020, we met a man volunteering at another outreach site. Over the course of several weeks, we built a relationship with him and encouraged him to believe that his life could change.

Later, we invited him to interview for a position with Mercy Holistic Ministry. Twelve people were expected to interview that day, but he was the only one who showed up.

We hired him, and over the past five years, he has become an incredible blessing to our ministry.

Today, he helps supervise outreach sites, organize storage, drive the shower trailer, support volunteers, and serve people with dignity and compassion every week.

His story is a powerful reminder of why this mission matters. When people are given dignity, opportunity, relationships, and support, lives can truly change.

Every share, every conversation, and every donation helps us continue transforming lives—from providing immediate relief to empowering long-term change for our unhoused neighbors.
